Bali is the sparkling emerald in the Indonesian archipelago, cherishing stories of Hindu culture. Magnificent temples, elegant dances of mythical characters embellished with folk art, ornate sculptures, an island of naive and enterprising people, embracing both picturesque nature and dangerous volcanoes at the same time!
What is there to see in Bali? Just keep your eyes open and walk around…. everything in Bali is worth seeing!! Drama, dance, music, nature, food, animals, birds, people ………… .. Bali, truly a harmony of contemporary and bygone worlds.
Kechak OR Kecak – Dance and singing performed by the devotees of Lord Rama – the Monkeys. A divine atmosphere created through forgiving light of a solo lamp and collective chanting of ‘Chuck Chuck Kechak‘. The play depicts the events from Ramayana, usually performed only in temple premises.
The slow but rhythmic melodious recitation of archaic notes…, captivates the audience with its unmistakable accent as the artists prepares for the entry.
The final act – War of Divine and Demon – fluid rhythm, upsurging sounds, synchronized movement of Lord Rama and Ravana. Kechak comes to the final stage, the spectators are enthralled! Bali lives the Ramayana…!
Legong – A relatively contemporary dance form. A perfect blend of orchestra and dancer with a splash of colors.
Coffee Luwak is a unique discovery of nature’s grace. Coffee seeds, which cost around $700 per kilogram, have to be obtained from the excrement of an animal called Luwak! The animal chooses the best coffee seeds, swallows them without biting and then excretes them as is. That is ‘Kopi Luwak’!
Petulu, a small town in Bali. Legend says that white heron birds first came to the village right after the villagers made a great sacrifice for heavenly favours. That legend has become the identity of the village today. Hence these birds are held in high esteem as a gift from God. They enjoy a free will in the village. After 5 pm, about 20,000 white Heron birds flock to the village, and of course, the tourists who come to see them. #petulu #bali #visitbali
The Monkey Sanctuary – Padangtegal #Padangtegal.
